I have a ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2025) G835, G835LX-SA088X. Initially I had an issue where USB-C ports stopped working as DisplayPort output for an external monitor (DP Alt-Mode).

While troubleshooting, Windows Device Manager showed a warning on “UCM-UCSI ACPI Device” (USB Connector Managers). I attempted standard recovery steps (EC reset / power reset). After that, the laptop became completely unresponsive and now appears “dead”.

Current state (reproducible):

Laptop does not boot and does not respond to short or long press of the power button.
Power button LED blinks red continuously (endless).
No normal startup behavior (no display, no reaction).
There is an audible squealing sound coming from the keyboard area.
The laptop does not react to connecting the charger (no normal charging indicator behavior).

What I already tried:

Disconnected all peripherals (USB devices, monitors, hubs).
Verified the charger is working (tested on another laptop successfully).
Multiple forced power resets / EC reset attempts:
- Hold power button for 40 seconds (with and without AC adapter).
- Hold power button for 90 seconds, wait, then try to power on normally.
Unplugged AC, waited, plugged AC back, tried to enter BIOS (F2) — no change.

The laptop does not turn on.
The power button LED is blinking red continuously.
No response to button presses or AC connection.
At one moment the camera is placed on the laptop and the squealing sound is clearly audible.
