Hi all, my c180k m271 (2004) runs to about 60 degrees roughly and sits there most of the time, and has since new.
It reaches 90 degrees and no higher when its been idling/stationary for a few mins or going up long steep hill driving.
Thought the thermostat might be stuck open but if it doesnt go over 90 degrees when the temp does rise, wouldnt be the thermostat then???

Hi All

After owning a couple of C63’s in the past I am now looking at purchasing a classic 190e Cosworth, can any owners give me some pointers on any pit falls and major items I need to concentrate on when I start looking around, totally understand my question is a little vague but any advice would be most appreciated.

Hi all,

I have an old c280 which has just started showing the engine light on the dash. The OBR says it is ap0172 fault - system too rich, bank 1.

The engine does seem a little sluggish (though this might just be me), and has been burning up a lot of fuel, but I haven't noticed any petrol smell or black smoke, so I guess it is the oxygen sensor; MAF sensor; Vac...

So a couple of the threads holding the plastic under tray have broken due to corrosion. I'm looking to rivet new threads. Any advice please? Basically need to be careful of wiring (how to locate) and need to know which rivet to use for protection against corrosion in future.
