Due to changes in the API, it appears that the overlay trick seems to be ineffective on many Android 16+ devices. This could be substituted by a couple of shell commands.

I attached a macro with them for easy testing. A bit more is explained there.
Some of them might be called differently or don't exist on other (especially older) Android versions.

1. The Problem (Too Easy to Bypass):
MacroDroid is perfect for blocking distractions, but during deep work sessions, it’s too easy to simply open the app and toggle off/delete the blocking macro. This lack of friction forces users to download paid apps like AppBlock just to enforce their own rules.
