July is right in the middle of the dry season here in Bali. That usually means lots of swell and consistent SE trade winds that blow offshore at Uluwatu.
But that doesn’t mean it’s huge every day. There’s still plenty of head high days with fun waves, but it doesn’t often get smaller than that.

A light offshore breeze and medium sized swell made for some really well shaped waves in Canggu.
The Rivermouth was probably the pick of the peaks, but the Sandbar had a few nice ones as well.

The ladies were on it early in Kuta, and for good reason.
The conditions were silky smooth with very good waist to shoulder high waves. With various peaks to choose from, there was a bit of space for the early crew before the masses descended and filled the lineup.

A very groomed swell made for a great session at Bingin the other day.
It was shoulder to head high with perfect peeling tubes and a nice section or two for turns, particularly as the tide started to drop out.
