The one that really drives me nuts is the modern "quotquotGE"quotquot T12 lamps. On rapid start ballasts, seemingly no matter what, the ends will blacken within a few minutes of running. Will not do it on a preheat ballast. I wonder if they are using a different for.

My house is as follows:
Bathrooms, kitchen, spare bedrooms, living room, side door light, are all ~2700k. Mix of CFL, fluorescent, LED, CMH, and incandescent. Main bedroom has 3000 and 2700k for the big louvered light, and the floor lamps are low color...

Over here still about 60% of the local ovals are still MH lit, though there is a gradual LED transition happening, since the late 2010s.
