Those mountains are actually an ancient fault line from millions of years ago. This area had a minor earthquake several months ago.

These fun photos came from deep in my archives and sadly these piggies are no longer with us… I broke them a long time ago. They went to piggy heaven. I hope.

That, and some photos from the other day during a very quick trip just west of the city. The photos of the mountains were taken using the new 25-250mm lens, the other from today are from the new 12-28mm lens. Nice and wiiide angle! It’s such a fabulous day today, bright and sunny with those beautiful cotton ball clouds floating about.

I processed this photo with an app on my iPad Mini for a different look. Summer is hanging on here in the valley with 108 degrees today and triple digits for the next seven days. I am looking forward to the end of the summer heat to get the new bike back on the trails. New trails await now because of the bike rack! Happy weekend, friends!
