UPDATE 11:15 p.m.

While the race is too close to call between incumbent Conservative Kristina Loewen and NDP candidate Loyal Wooldridge in the 2026 provincial election, the three other Conservative candidates won their ridings, helping the party win a majority government.

Conservatives Gavin Dew (Kelowna-Mission), Pavneet Singh (Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream), and Macklin McCall (West Kelowna-Peachland) all won their ridings. In total, the BC Conservatives won a projected 64 seats. Political parties need 47 to win a majority.

Dew collected 58.68 per cent of the vote in his riding. Singh totalled 47.41 per cent. McCall was the first riding to be called in the province as he won with 62.22 per cent of the vote.

In Kelowna Centre, Loewen leads Wooldridge by 133 votes, which is too close to call.

Mail-in, assisted telephone voting, ballots cast by out-of-district will all be counted around two weeks after the election.

UPDATE 10:39 p.m.

Mail-in ballots will decide the Kelowna Centre riding.

After all 80 election day ballots and six advanced ballots counted, Conservative incumbent Kristina Loewen leads NDP candidate Loyal Wooldridge by 131 votes.

So far, Loewen has received 48.22 per cent of the vote (10,783 votes) compared to 47.63 per cent for Wooldridge (10,652 votes).

The mail-in ballots will be counted from Nov. 6-10.

UPDATE 10:29 p.m.

Loewen’s lead is now 71 votes with two ballot boxes to go over Wooldridge.

UPDATE 10:23 p.m.

Loewen’s lead is now 42 votes over Wooldridge with three ballot boxes to go.

In the 2024 election, Loewen beat Wooldridge by 40 votes.

With only four ballot boxes to be counted, Loewen’s lead over Wooldridge is now less than 50 votes – 10,276 to 10,229.

The race is continuing to tighten up in Kelowna Centre.

Conservative Loewen’s lead is now just 74 votes.

While media is barred from Pavneet Singh’s speech, Gavin Dew, re-elected in the Kelowna-Mission riding, spoke to the media about the projected Conservative majority government.

Project winner of the Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream riding Pavneet Singh is about to make a speech at the Fairfield Inn in Kelowna.

Black Press Media has a reporter on scene, however the Conservative Party has barred all media from listening to the speech.

Loewen continues to lead by 346 votes over Wooldridge in Kelowna Centre through 38 counted ballot boxes.

Loewen’s lead is has shrunk to nearly 300 votes. She leads Wooldridge through 32 ballot boxes counted.

Pavneet Singh has been elected in the Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream riding.

Through 60 counted ballot boxes, Singh has 48.5 per cent of the vote (8,626 votes).

Conservative Loewen’s lead continues to climb over NDP Wooldridge. Through 31 counted boxes, Loewen has a 796 vote lead.

Conservative Loewen has started to pull away from NDP candidate Wooldridge. Loewen now has a 622 vote lead in the Kelowna Centre riding.

Loewen’s lead is now more than 200 votes over Wooldridge in the Kelowna Centre riding.

In total, 28/86 ballot boxes have been counted so far.

Kelowna Centre Conservative incumbent Loewen now has a more than 200 vote lead on NDP candidate Wooldridge.

Conservative incumbent Gavin Dew has been re-elected in Kelowna-Mission. Through 10 ballot boxes, he has more than 60 per cent of the vote.

UPDATE 9:08 p.m.

Conservative incumbent Kristina Loewen had taken the lead over NDP candidate Loyal Wooldridge. Loewen is up by 175 votes through 20/86 ballot boxes counted.

UPDATE 9:06 p.m.

Wooldridge continues to lead but Loewen is pulling closer. The two are now within 60 votes – 2,964 to 2,904.

NDP candidate Loyal Wooldridge is now leading Conservative incumbent Kristina Loewen by 196 votes.

However, the Conservative Party is dominating across the province, currently leading 63 out of 93 ridings, which would result in a Conservative majority government.

Conservatives Gavin Dew (Kelowna-Mission) and Pavneet Singh (Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream) are both leading leading their ridings. Dew has 2,835 votes while Singh has 5,990.

Conservatives Dew and Singh continue to lead the way in their respective ridings. Meanwhile, NDP Wooldridge continues to have a slight lead over Conservative Loewen in Kelowna Centre.

UPDATE 8:43 p.m.

NDP candidate Loyal Wooldridge is leading Conservative incumbent Kristina Loewen by 41 through four ballot boxes counted in the Kelowna Centre riding.

Dew and Singh continued to lead in their ridings.

Macklin McCall has been declared the winner in West Kelowna-Peachland.

UPDATE 8:32 p.m.

Conservative candidates Gavin Dew (Kelowna-Mission) and Pavneet Singh (Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream) both have early leads in their respective ridings.

Singh currently has 4,166 votes, compared to 2,560 for NDP candidate Binny Boparai.

Dew is leading his riding with 1,413 votes.

UPDATE 8:26 p.m.

West Kelowna-Peachland is the first riding called with Conservative incumbent Macklin McCall declared the winner over NDP candidate George Morgan.

UPDATE 8:20 p.m.

The first ballot box in the Central Okanagan is in.

After one box, Conservative incumbent Macklin McCall is leading the West Kelowna-Peachland riding with a preliminary count of 4,428 votes.
