Link: Eat, Love, Kill is a fantasy mystery romance about a chef (Yeo Jin Goo) who starts a restaurant in the town where his sister went missing in order to find the truth behind her disappearance, and he suddenly begins experiencing the same emotions as a woman (Moon Ga Young) looking for a job in the town.

Yeo Jin Goo plays Eun Gye Hun who is a chef that returns to his hometown and starts a restaurant. He hopes to find more information about his sister who went missing when they were children. Things becoming confusing though when he begins to experience the same emotions as a woman in the town.

Moon Ga Young is No Da Hyun. She has been down on her luck and struggling to get a good job in her town when things unexpectedly get even worse. Then she meets the new chef which adds more confusion to her life.

Link: Eat, Love, Kill was such an enjoyable drama! It starts off with a very quirky, slice-of-life vibe as it introduces us to a mystery from the past as well as one in the present. It blended the romance, humor, and mystery extremely well and seamlessly transitioned between them.

I really loved the setting in a small area of the city which really gave great small town vibes. Most of the story takes place in just a few locations. I especially liked the street where Gye Hun’s restaurant was and Da Hyun lived.

The drama does well at slowly revealing the mystery by answering some questions here and there but then throwing in some new questions along the way. The pacing of the reveals was good, and there were some surprises along the way as the mystery deepened and we learned more about everything that was happening.

You’ll definitely find some bad communication and bad decision making by characters throughout the drama, but overall, I didn’t feel like it detracted from anything.

The romance between Gye Hun and Da Hyun was really nice. It’s a slow build with some of that aforementioned bad communication, but they get lots of time together which was nice to watch as their relationship grew. They are very sweet together and have lots of nice moments.

The emotional connection between them with Gye Hun feeling Da Hyun’s emotions plays a big role in their developing relationship as well as some of the mysteries they are trying to solve. It added an interesting dynamic to the relationship. They do face very big challenges along the way that are difficult to overcome. I enjoyed seeing them work through the obstacles.

Both actors gave amazing performances here, but I always have a soft spot for Yeo Jin Goo who always delivers such an incredible range of emotions which was certainly the case here.

There’s a nice cast of supporting characters that populate this little area of town. Of course, Da Hyun’s mom (Kim Ji Young) and grandma (Ye Soo Jung) are standouts. They are prepared to do whatever it takes to protect Da Hyun and bring plenty of humor as well as drama to the story.

We also have a secondary couple, Won Tak (Song Deok Ho) and Min Jo (Lee Bom So Ri), who are both police officers. These exes have some complicated history that they have to deal with in the present, and they are big part of the happenings connected to the mystery.

I should also mention the talented young actress Ahn Se Bin who played Gye Hun’s twin sister, Gye Yeong. She brought charm and humor to the character as well delivered such heartfelt emotions.

Overall, I thought Link: Eat, Love, Kill was such a well done drama. The blending of romance, humor, and mystery kept things interesting.
