Can the business generate enough income to cover the repayments? Lenders will calculate your Net Service Ratio (NSR) or Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR). As a rough guide, most lenders want to see that repayments do not consume more than 35–50% of net business income.

2. Asset Quality
