I don't paint many paints but here's a pair I painted. I also don't do many vignettes, but I thought It would work best for this one. It was painted using only burnt sienna and white.

Something has caught the attention of these cowboys, but what is it? A cloud of dust could mean anything in the Old West. Is it a calvary patrol? Is it a herd of long horns being driven up the trail? Or buffalo? I just hope it's not a war party of Comanches.

Here's another of my favorite types of paintings, action. I enjoy playing with the horse's positions, especially the background ones that are falling and jumping over each other. I'll usually play with the positions of the horses for a couple of weeks before I'm satisfied, but it's fun.

I was commissioned by the Diocese of Amarillo to do this painting. It was the first Catholic Church in the Panhandle of Texas, St. Mary's in Clarendon. Once again, the parishioners are thanking God for the plentiful rain. It doesn't happen that often in the Panhandle.
