For 22 years, IT Ukraine Association has united Ukrainian IT companies and represented the interests of the technology business, contributing to the development of the industry, the international presence of Ukrainian technologies and the strengthening of their role in the country’s economy.

Today the Association brings together more than 250 companies and 100,000 IT professionals. Over the past year, the team has strengthened its work across the industry’s key areas — from advocacy and analytics to international expansion, technological independence and talent development. We would like to share some of our work and results:

Over the course of the year, the Association analysed hundreds of regulatory initiatives affecting the technology business and joined the negotiation process on Ukraine’s EU accession in the area of digital transformation and media.

An important step in developing sectoral cooperation was the establishment of the Committee on IT and Innovation within the Federation of Employers of Ukraine. Its purpose is to provide systematic representation of the IT industry across all sectors of the economy, promote Ukrainian and other secure IT solutions, and deliver quality expertise to enterprises across various technology profiles.

To support member companies, the Association’s experts provided hundreds of consultations through the e-Support service and held more than 60 expert events.

For over 10 years, the Association has continued its systematic work on research into the Ukrainian technology industry and its impact on the economy. This year saw the presentation of “The Code Economy” — the first comprehensive study built on economic modelling and the theory of creative destruction developed by Nobel laureate economists. The study makes it possible to assess the structural impact of the IT industry on the transformation of Ukraine’s economy over the long term.

The Ukraine AI Industry Map was also presented — the first comprehensive study to map the Ukrainian AI market and define its role in the global technology landscape. The IT Ukraine Salary Overview was launched — an exclusive closed study covering data on compensation, benefits and HR practices at Ukrainian IT companies, based on data from Association member companies and in-depth interviews with HR professionals and C-level executives.

Over the year, the Association expanded the international presence of Ukrainian IT. The network of IT Ukraine Association Ambassadors grew to 16 representatives in 11 countries: the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Italy, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, the UAE, Portugal and Switzerland. The team organised the participation of Ukrainian IT companies in international exhibitions in London, Paris, Berlin and Stockholm, as well as a business trip to San Francisco with training at UC Berkeley as part of the AgriTech Business Accelerator Programme. The TechStep Sweden 2.0 programme was launched to support Ukrainian IT companies entering the Swedish market.

The Association continues its systematic work under the “Hostile Software” project, aimed at reducing the use of Russian software in Ukraine. The Association has also become the executive partner of the “ERP Vouchers for SMEs” initiative, which helps Ukrainian businesses transition to Ukrainian and international software solutions.

Over the year, the Association organised large-scale industry events, including Tech360: Policy Meets Technology and WINWIN Summit 2025: The Power of Innovations, which together brought together more than 1,300 participants. The Let IT Be series of thematic events was attended by more than 400 members of the technology community.

The AgriTech, CyberTech, FinTech, EdTech and AI Committees continue to actively bring together companies’ expertise and shape joint solutions for the development of specific technology areas.

In the field of education, the three-year Erasmus+ INSPIRE project was launched, aimed at reforming Ukraine’s higher education accreditation system. The IT for ProfTech: Bootcamp programme brought together heads of 63 vocational education institutions from 23 Ukrainian cities.

One of the key performance indicators for the Association remains the quality of support and engagement with member companies. Over the past year, the team handled more than 3,400 enquiries from members. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) stands at +84, and the Retention Rate is 85%, reflecting a high level of trust and loyalty towards the Association.

22 years of the Association’s work is, above all, our shared achievement. During this time, the Ukrainian IT industry has grown from a young sector into one of the key branches of the economy and a significant representative of Ukraine on the global technology market. Today our task is to reinforce this role: to protect business interests, open up new international opportunities, develop talent, and create the conditions in which Ukrainian technologies can scale globally,
