The number of immigrant detainees dying by suicide in US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody has risen to an "alarming level", reports said. The reports added that at least 10 detainees have died by suicide since President Donald Trump’s second term began in January 2025. Since October 2024, seven detainee deaths have officially been classified as suicides.

Muslims in Maharashtra's Pandharpur have decided to postpone their Bakrid celebration on Wednesday as it coincides with Ekadashi, saying lakhs of Warkaris and Vitthal devotees are visiting the pilgrimage town. They will now celebrate Bakrid either tomorrow or the day after, according to NDTV Marathi. "We have faith in Lord Pandurang as well," members of the Muslim community said.
