Given the less than normal winter in most areas, does this seem to be effecting the spring thaw and planting, of just planting in general.

This is a link to a man called Fred Dimnah, who used to go around the UK looking at how things were made or operated in the 19th century onwards. Canal boats, Steam engines, steelmaking, blacksmithing, all there. Some winter watching maybe.
