But when I listened to the R Kelly version, it doesn't sound that similar. My question is that I thought it did, but was it just the chords? Clearly different melody, key, tempo and style?

I recently got a well conditioned 34B in full working condition. I had it serviced for SM 911 and it runs well. Only thing that should be replaced is the capstan Motor. I'm searching for info on how to properly calibrate an otari mx5050, mark I (8shd, the 2 unit model) I have an Mrl tape and have calibrated a few machines in the past but I have absolutely no idea where to begin w this unit due to all the "otari only" terms used (wtf is srl?)

Any tips on how to set up the basic repro cal? Thank you

I looking to buy a Otari MX5050 2SHT. Can some one tell me how good or bad these recorders are and what the 2SHT stands for?
