For Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, maritime security is not an abstract concern. As an island state, the country depends heavily on the sea for trade, movement and economic activity, while also confronting the reality that the same maritime space can be exploited by transnational criminal networks.

Moisture levels remain elevated across our area generating cloudy skies and pockets of intermittent showers with possible thunderstorms.

A film of haze currently across our area is expected to clear out, allowing for fairly good visibility across our islands.

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is encouraging members of the public to be more alert following a number of recent robberies and burglaries, particularly within the South Central Division.

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, an intense tropical wave produced widespread heavy rainfall (up to 130.2 mm / 5.1 inches recorded in 24 hours) across mainland Saint Vincent.
