Minnesota Wild forward Yakov Trenin has left tonight's game against the Dallas Stars after Stars forward Colin Blackwell absolutely obliterated him with an enormous open ice hit.

Check it out:

I can't really fault Blackwell or Trenin for how this hit played out given the ridiculous suicide pass that Trenin received from defenseman Zach Bogosian.

This just in, the Minnesota Wild have announced that veteran forward Mats Zuccarello is out of the lineup for Game 2 tonight against the Dallas Stars.

That's a huge blow for the Wild. Zuccarello is a clutch player and he put up 3 assists in the Wild's Game 1 victory over the Stars.
