Consider the wood to be for your own use, not selling firewood. Do you separate and keep separate your firewood by species? If so why?

For example, you have Red Oak, Maples, Beech, Cherry. All hardwoods. Do you keep them separated or just stack 'em as you cut them and mix them together.

This is a single flue 8”x8” block chimney with brick only on the outside top roof portion. It has a clay flue liner and a Selkerk Masonry Conversion Kit with a Stainless Steel liner going down to a P61 in the basement. The new stainless steel Buderus boiler flue is right behind it.
