Ollie has been doing well at home. We went to clinic yesterday to get labs and talk to our oncologist. The plan right now is to finish the 14 days of antibiotics and continue to do oral chemo at home. He will get another biopsy to see what his disease is looking like before we start the next round of chemo.

We got our buddy home last night! It has been a long and very stressful week and we are looking forward to playing, resting, and getting the house settled again. He is so happy to be home and enjoying sleeping in his bed. We will see our oncologist again on Tuesday and then maybe have a more clear plan moving forward. Oliver is back in surgery to get his central line removed. Unfortunately, the type of bacteria he has often develops a biofilm around the central line and the only way to guarantee that it doesn’t come back again is to get the line out. Since Ollie has been admitted, he has gotten to move around a lot and has been in such a sweet mood. This chemo can technically be done out patient but we needed to do it for five days in a row and we were concerned about waiting for Monday to do it in case his disease starting gaining momentum.
