Good morning, would anyone be interested in joining a society to meet once a month for 8 months of the year to play different course and meet new people. I currently work with a bunch of lads who like a game but are........ How should we put it....... Not golfers.

If theres any people who are new to golf or looking to play more courses and meet new people to join along...

My car is going to the garage for a gearbox/drivetrain problem. With it being a BMW I am expecting a huge bill! If it goes past half the value of the car (2015 3 series) I may well just look to get a new car which leads me to my question.

Do I 1) buy 2nd hand and take finance - car would probably have little to no warranty so I'm putting extra money away to cover issues...

Im not sure there are rules for this or more after guidance .
Normally my course is ok in the winter but with the non stop rain a few of the holes have been closed .
I got a winter knockout match play in a few days and got to give the guy 5 shots .
As it is at the moment , holes 6,16,17 are shut with hole 6 being a shot hole.
My proposed suggestion to my opponent...

Would anyone be interested in a bit of a meet up in the North. Pike Fold would be my choice. It's a real risk and reward type of place. I've played it almost every year for about 10 years now.
So, would there be any interest? It won't be expensive, I don't do expensive places, but it's a really good fun course. I still talk of a mates brilliant shot taking the whole dog leg...
