Got out in the woods detecting both Saturday and Sunday. Beautiful Fall days in the 50s, near freezing at night. Most of the ticks are headed below ground except for the black deer ticks that move up onto shrubbery. Waves of flocks of birds moving south chattering up the woods and making a loud whoosh as they take flight.

Was running the vortex in thin coin mode at 25khz along the edge of a parking lot . 68 on the vdi . Right on the surface . Some photos.

Total newbie here, please have mercy. I'm trying to find this one property marker which is an iron re-bar. I bought a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV at the pawn shop for $50 and it has found my property marker at my southeast corner so I know it works, although I don't think it reaches very deep, like about 4-5 inches, not sure (luckily the SE marker was not hardly buried).
