I found this today and am pretty sure if is horse tack (even though google lens insists that it is a Viking flint striker). My hunting buddy says it is 17th century. I am wondering if there is a definitive way to date this buckle ? It is non-ferrous most likely brass.

I stumbled upon a video that describes Elon Musk’s new Aluminum Ion battery technology developed for Tesla EV’s. The benefits of this new technology are HUGE from every metric. Although this technology was developed for Tesla’s EV’s (cars), the technology is so groundbreaking, I’m sure at some point it will start appearing in consumer batteries, like AA, AAA, 9V, etc.

Went out this evening. I keep finding more bullets. Every time I hit this site I think well I’m going to have a hard time finding more today. But they just keep popping out of the ground. I found 8 more and a triangle.
A fun hunt. It was a little hot but other than that a fun time.

This is a question about civil war camps. I know camps that are used for some time will have pits they dug and thru there trash in. This would not be the case if they only camped there for a day? Does anyone know?
