My 2014 Explorer is having an issue where intermittently the starter is staying engaged after I release the key. It will only stay engaged for a second or two and it doesnt happen every time. I can't seem to figure out when it will do it (cold start, hot start, etc). It seems to be random.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Maybe a sticky key switch or relay?

Hey, so on my 2017 PIU I have already replaced the timing chains, tensioners, guides, etc once after getting a bad tick from the engine that turned out to be a loose timing chain. This was probably 5 or 10 thousand miles ago. Now I am getting what seems to be the same tick again! Today I popped the front valve cover off and sure enough the chain was loose again.
