I think of Thin Lizzy as the most famous rock band from Ireland. Sure, U2 is from there, too, and The Cranberries – big names. Thin Lizzy, though, was more my speed and they leaned into the hard edge of rock by the mid-seventies, later moving all the way into heavy metal. Most importantly, Thin Lizzy had Phil Lynott, who was an amazing composer with a unique voice.
