I normally upgrade my system weekly (dnf upgrade -y).
A few weeks back I did that and the window manager would not come up. I posted here and someone (thanks) helped me back down just the window manager updates.
I have hot upgraded for a couple weeks and am vary nervous about doing again as that was very painful.

I was hoping to find that thread and note the dnf...

I encounter the issue both on recent versions of Fedora/Ubuntu, but no issue on old versions (at least in my ubuntu 22.04 no this issue). As I remember after specific version both F/U the issue present, I think it may the issue of Gnome.
