Classic car shows are part of the summer activities we enjoy. We don’t own a fancy car but you don’t need to own one to enjoy meandering around town looking at them and talking to the owners and meeting friends.

We took our time to drive to South Carolina, that way we wouldn’t need to rent a car when we got there and could stop along the way wherever we pleased. Crossing the border at Sarnia, Ontario was easy as pie, only one car in front of us and a very kind border guard.

Kincardine has a summer market every Monday all summer long. One of the vendors is a very creative, talented lady who upcycles and creates new items giving old clothes and fabric new life.

Case in point: these denim skirts upcycled from old jeans. These ones are fun and frayed but she also makes outfits that are elegant, or casual for relaxing at the beach.
