The Hamilton softball team won the Division I state title with an 8-3 victory over Muskego at the Goodman Diamond in Madison on June 13.
Hamilton pitcher Bitsy Palicka allowed six hits while recording six strikeouts over seven innings. Catcher Aubrie Peterson got three hits in four at bats while driving in six runs.
It is the first state softball title for Hamilton.
