Well, RAPID + TCT is here again and some of the biggest names in additive manufacturing (AM) are already showing off their latest and greatest, with both 3D Systems and Stratasys making their announcements in advance of the exhibition. Here’s what you can expect to see on the show floor from each of them this week.

3D Systems introduces SLA 825 Dual, launches AddiTrak

In Booth #1801 at RAPID + TCT 2026, 3D Systems is showcasing its new SLA 825 Dual, the company’s next-generation stereolithography (SLA) system. Designed with a 22% larger build volume and, according to 3D Systems, capable of up to 25% faster build speeds than its predecessor, the SLA 825 Dual aims to enable more builds per shift and consolidate more parts per platform. It’s designed for high-utilization environments, such as motorsports, precision prototyping, and investment casting patterns.

On the software side, 3D Systems is focusing on improving the fleet-level visibility and process control of its machines. To that end, the company has launched AddiTrak, described as “a secure, on-premises software platform” that’s intended to centralize monitoring and analytics via a unified dashboard. It’s also compatible with MTConnect and OPC UA in addition to integrating with 3D Sprint.

“Over the past several years, we’ve made disciplined investments to refresh our portfolio and focus on manufacturing applications where additive delivers the greatest value,” said Jeff Graves, President and CEO of 3D Systems, in a press release. “At RAPID + TCT 2026, we’re demonstrating how those investments are translating into production-focused solutions, from high‑throughput stereolithography to connected software platforms that improve visibility and control across the full range of factory environments.”

Stratasys announces J850 Core, GrabCAD updates, new materials

With a similar emphasis on production, Stratasys has introduced a new machine along with new materials and software updates, on display this week in Booth #1601.

“Whether it’s designing tools faster, producing high-performance parts, or getting more accuracy out of production systems, we’re giving teams practical ways to put additive to work every day,” said Rich Garrity, Stratasys President and Chief Business Unit Officer, in a press release.

The J850 Core printer expands on Stratasys’ PolyJet lineup with a lower-cost system (noticing a trend here?) aimed at engineering teams working on functional prototyping. It eschews full-color capabilities for the sake of giving Stratasys customers access to PolyJet technology at a lower price point. Example applications of the J850 Core cited by Stratasys include enclosures, housings, jigs, fixtures, and other functional components.

In terms of software, GrabCAD Print and Print Pro will soon see enhancements via the new Additive App Suite, developed by Stratasys’ software partner, trinckle 3D. The companies expect the suite to launch this summer with 10 apps, increasing to 15 by Formnext 2026 in November. Example applications include Clamping Jaws, Shadow Boards, and Drill Guides, all of which will be embedded directly into the GrabCAD software.

Additionally, measurement-based Warped Adaptive Modeling (WAM) is being directly integrated into GrabCAD Print Pro for the Origin P3 platform. This tool uses measured dimension data to correct warping automatically during additive production.

Stratasys has also announced many additions to its materials portfolio:

Somos WaterShed White: A moisture-resistant SLA material validated to run on all Neo 3D printers
ULTEM 1010 Filament: Now available for the F3300 3D printer with larger spool sizes for extended production runs using the Fortus FDC filament dryer
P3 MED Silicone 25A: Biocompatible silicone certified to ISO 10993
Other highlighted materials include P3 Deflect 110, Loctite 3D IND3785, PolyJet ToughONE White, PolyJet ToughONE Black
