PORTLAND, Ore. — The drive west proved worth it for Eastern Washington women's tennis today as they defeated Portland State 4-3. Eastern secured the doubles point to begin and then rallied with three singles wins to upend the Vikings. EWU improves to 3-2 in the Big Sky and 9-7 overall.

CHENEY, Wash. — The Eastern Washington football staff is at full strength as the team has found its coach for the defensive line. Head coach Aaron Best announced the hiring of Michael Smith as the team's defensive line coach to solidify the defensive staff.

FARMINGTON, Utah — Following a top-10 finish earlier this week, Hogan Park earned his first career Big Sky Co-Player of the Week award. Park shares the award with Idaho's Josh McCartain. The two tied on the individual leaderboard at the Redhawk Invitational that concluded on Tuesday.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — Eastern Washington men's golf was on the west side to start the week at the Redhawk Invitational, hosted by Seattle U. EWU placed 11th in the tournament after shooting 891. The Eagles competed at the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place on Monday and Tuesday. In the final round, the Eagles combined to shoot +3.
