Is it mandatory to take the "Recreational UAS Safety Test? Taking the TRUST means completing The Recreational UAS Safety Test, a mandatory, free online safety quiz required by the FAA for anyone flying a drone purely for fun or recreation in the United States.

I’ve been a helicopter pilot since the late ‘60s. Last year I flew was 1998. Flew a desk for a few more years. Retired the first time in 2014. Became a heliport consultant helping remote communities establish air ambulance heliports. Retired from that in March, 2025. I have had my part 107 license for a few months now, and I am still trying to link up with other pilots.

I'm looking for a cheap, bright 10-12" tablet for drone flights. I currently have an Atom SE and an Atom LT, but would like something that will work with better drones in the future.

I plan on getting the holder and USB C extension cord from Amazon...
