Magda is a 2-3 year old female Cross-Breed. She is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. Magda was rescued from the streets of Romania a couple of years ago. She was in an awful state, almost bald due to an allergic reaction to a flea infestation.

Undernourished and abused, she was a sorrowful sight. Magda was taken to the Crivatu private shelter where she was nursed back to health. It’s taken eighteen months for Magda to get her turn to travel to the UK but she’s now here in a foster home and ready to find a family of her own.

Hugh is a 4 year old male Cross-Breed. He is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. We first met Hugh back in March on a trip to the Botosani public shelter in Romania. We walked him and spent time with him then but he never made it onto any of the transport lists as there was always a more pressing priority.

When we returned to Botosani in October he was of course still there as nobody takes the bigger dogs from Botosani except us. We walked him again and assured him that we would send for him soon. Hugh is at last in a UK foster home and loves being around people full-time.

Benji is a 2-3 year old male Terrier Cross. He is fostered in Brundal Norfolk. Benji was found on the streets in Corbeanca, Romania last July. He was a friendly boy and when posted on the local community Facebook group some people showed up at Mihaela’s door claiming it was theirs.

Benji was not neutered, not microchipped and they had no intention of making sure he would not go out on the street again so they didn’t get him back! Their loss will be some lucky family’s gain because this boy is a charismatic little charmer.

Benji gets on great with other dogs and children and is just bubbling over with joy and happiness. He can live as an only dog or as part of a pack or pair.

Pepper is a 5-6 year old female Cross-Breed. She is fostered in Norwich Norfolk. We pulled Pepper out of the Botosani public shelter in Romania last month. We had gotten her out of the pen to remove some of the heavy mats from her coat but found she had a mass of lumps underneath her.

Pepper was moved to the private shelter in Crivatu where she underwent life-saving double mammary strips. All lumps were removed and sent off for analysis. The report back was that there was very little chance of lumps recurring in the future.

Sugar is a 1 year old female Cross-Breed. She has been with her family for only a month but they decided that she is not suitable for them.

Sugar is a sweet girl, she loves other dogs and is happiest when playing with them.

Sugar is curious and adjusting to life outside of the kennels in her current home here in the UK. She loves her food and toys, and will happily lay in front of the fire with her kong.

Sugar is a bit anxious and insecure, so she needs someone patient and gentle, someone who is willing to help her build up her confidence over the next few months.

Sugar is paid, vaccinated and microchipped and would benefit from a home in a quiet area with a laid-back family.

Dexter is a 4-5 year old male Cross-Breed. He lost his hind limb at the beginning of the war, but now he is an absolutely happy dog.

Dexter can certainly go on to live a healthy and long life. He doesn’t require any specialised or ongoing care other than maintaining a healthy weight.

Dexter is a Ukraine war dog looking for the haven he deserves. Dexter is just the perfect family dog, one for a million.

Dexter is a very much humans oriented, very trusting, loving and affectionate sweet boy. He loves absolutely all humans, very good and gentle with kids.

Dexter is good with other dogs but sometimes can dominate when playing. But dogs are not important to him. Only humans are. He will make a great companion to busy a family, who are mostly home and who can make Dexter truly happy by allowing him to be by their side. Not tested for cats.

Dexter was found in the Kyiv area at the beginning of the war when Kyiv was massively shelled. His hind leg was badly insured.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to save it. He was operated on in the spring of 2022 and completely healed a very long time ago.

Dexter already forgot those rough times. Dexter is a healthy tripod (operated in spring 2022) and doesn’t require any ongoing care.

Dexter has no known health issues; neutered, full vaccination pack, microchipped. Will arrive dewormed and C. Brucella tested.

Lego is a 4-5 year old male Border Collie Cross. He has an adorable personality: kind, loving, very much human-oriented, very friendly with adults and kids, good with other dogs and eager to play, but sometimes can play a bit harshly. He is okay to live with cats.

Lego loves walks and loves cuddles. Real companion, who will be always by your side, looking into your eyes and happy to serve.

Lego was found by soldiers aside the road at the beginning of the war. He wasn’t able to rise. The soldier took him to the vet clinic and left there. Lego was exhausted and probably hit by a car, but nothing serious.

The vet clinic called to rescue rescue, where he has still since the spring of 2022. He is an adorable dog and that’s not fair that he is so much overlooked.

Lego is doing his best to deserve a home and a loving family. Lego has no known health issues; neutered, full vaccination pack, microchipped. Will arrive C. Brucella tested.

Roscoe is a 6-7 year old male Labrador Retriever. He is good with other dogs and kids. No cats, please. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Roscoe loves his food and walks. He is very food-oriented and has been in one home since a puppy.
He is currently located in Bristol. Homecheck and adoption fees apply.

Nico is a 4 year old male Pomeranian cross Chihuahua. He is a very sweet loving boy who loves a cuddle once he gets to know you, Nico will be nervous to begin with but will become the perfect companion.

Nico is looking for a new active forever home. No children. We believe that Nico would be best re-homed as an only dog. No cats, please.

His toilet training does need working on. He is good at the vets travels well in the car and loves to be bathed and groomed.

Nico knows the commands sit and wait. He loves his food and treats. He loves to be able to go out on long walks to enjoy his favourite place the outside world.

Nico must stay on his harness and lead at all times due to having no recall. Nico is currently located in Basingstoke.

Elsa is a 2 year old female Akita. She is our dainty princess, or at least that’s the impression she makes on everyone that meets her. Elsa came to us from the pound having served her time and being at serious risk of being put to sleep.

Elsa walks beautifully on the lead. One of her kennel slaves was quoted saying ‘She is a dream to walk’. She loves having time out of the kennel and loves a fuss and cuddle with her human friends.

Elsa would ideally suit a home where she can be an only dog and can learn to socialise with other dogs. She can get a bit excited when she sees others. Elsa is a bit of a foodie and loves treats making it easier to train her.

Elsa has so much potential and so much love to give to her new family. As Elsa came to us from the pound we are looking for an adult-only home or one with children over 12.

Elsa isn’t suitable to live with small furries. If you have an Elsa-shaped hole in your heart and home then please contact us. She is currently located in Nottinghamshire.

Kye is a 1 year old male Cross-Breed. He has come to us from the inspectors. A few people have remarked that he resembles a small dingo.

Kye is only a young dog and therefore very lively and full of beans. We have found him to be a very friendly boy but he is boisterous and excitable and does jump up. He also can be stubborn and has a mind of his own.

Kye loves his walks and has plenty of energy. He seems keen to interact with other dogs on walks and wants to play. He does know some basic commands but would benefit from additional positive reward-based training in his new home.

Kye appears to be scared of cars and is very reluctant to get into them. He seems to be fine once he is in and travelling but adopters may need to gradually build up positive experiences of getting into them.

Kye is better being rehomed as an only dog and is not to be rehomed with cats. He could live with children of secondary school age.

Myra is a 1-2 year old female Terrier Cross. She weighs around 6kg and was found in the car park outside Lidl. She is currently located in Romania, Myra has recently given birth to 5 healthy puppies.

Myra will be spayed before travelling and will be ready to travel early in the new year. Myra loves attention.

Myra is always pleased to see her rescuer, who describes her as calm, loving and humble. She is a great mum.

Myra is happy around the rescuer’s young daughter, a toddler, though any children in her adoptive home would need to be 6+.

Myra will be happy as an only dog, or with a doggy companion. She has shown no interest in the local cats.

Tia is a 3 year old female Akita. She arrived with us heavily pregnant from the dog pound. She is currently busy being the most amazing Mum to her brood but she is looking for her fabulous new forever home to move to once her duties are over so we are starting the search now.

After the initial excitement of going out, Tia walks well on her lead, she loves getting out and about exploring new areas and meeting new people.

Tia is now housetrained and can be left alone for a few hours without it becoming a problem.

Tia is spending time with the other dogs in her foster home and she seems to enjoy their company, she therefore lives with a neutered male companion after introductions.

Tia is not suitable to live with cats or small animals. There are children in her foster home who she seeks out for attention so could live in a home with children over the age of 8 or an adult-only home.

This beautiful girl is an absolute delight, she is very loving and affectionate with everyone she meets.

Evie is a 1 year old female Saluki Cross She is currently located in Oman. She was rescued at the end of 2022 after her mum was shot dead.

Evie wouldn’t have survived on her own as a young puppy so she was rescued off the streets and taken to a shelter.

Evie came to our shelter earlier this year and is a really lovely little dog. She’s friendly and greets you with a sweet wagging tail.

Evie’s good with the other dogs and has never had any problems sharing her kennel space. She has not lived with cats since being with us but was around cats in the first shelter (we could test this if needed).

Evie will need patient adopters who will understand that she has had a very small world since being rescued so will need time to get used to new experiences and surroundings.

Evie will make such a loving companion once she knows and trusts you. She has never lived with children so a home with older dog-experienced children would be best.

Evie is leash-trained but not house-trained. She has been spayed, is fully vaccinated and microchipped and will be ready to travel to the UK in March 2024.

Miruna is a 5-6 year old female Cross-Breed. She is an easygoing, sweet girl who is searching for the forever family she deserves. She was originally rescued from a Romania kill shelter on the day she was supposed to be killed.

Thankfully a kind rescuer stepped in the save her, and give her a second chance at happiness. She may be 5 but she is full of life and acts and plays like a young puppy! She enjoys the company of other dogs and reads them, adapting her behaviour to be playful or calm.

Miruna can initially be a bit shy, but if you are patient and give her the time she needs, it doesn’t take long for her confidence to grow and her true personality to shine through. Miruna loves nothing more than to curl up next to you in the home and fall asleep.

Miruna will also let you know if you are not giving her enough love and attention and pluck her paws on you to make sure you continue! She loves a belly rub. Miruna enjoys going out for walks and is very good on the lead and harness.

Miruna has been to an open field for recall training, but at the moment life is way too exciting and there are things to sniff and explore. Her fosterer feels with continued training this could be built up and is currently using a whistle to help practise this.

Miruna loves the snow, she has started to play with toys, particularly the soft ones, She is fed using a slow feeder bowl as she tends to wolf her food down quite quickly. Miruna has been introduced to cats in her foster home, she is curious but doesn’t show any issues, we feel she could similarly live with cats in her new home with careful introductions.

Miruna would be suited to a quieter home with not too much chaos. She would be better suited to a home with someone who is around most of the day as she does not like to be left for too long on her own, as he enjoys the company.

Miruna would be the perfect dog to have at your side whilst pottering around the garden or watching your favourite film inside. Miruna has very recently had a bath and clip as her coat was very badly matted.

Once it grows back to its full length again, she will have a lovely fluffy coat which will need regular brushing to ensure it is maintained in good condition. She is used to being brushed and has had her teeth cleaned.

Miruna has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and fully health checked by the vet. She is currently being fostered in Doncaster and would make a wonderful addition to the right family.
