Governor Kay Ivey has signed House Bill 38 into law, establishing the Alabama Seagrass Restoration Task Force to address the decline of seagrass habitats in the state’s coastal waters.

The Alabama School for the Deaf won the overall regional champion title on Saturday, March 21, at the Alabama Regional SeaPerch competition. They qualified to attend the Internaiontal SeaPerch Competition in College Park, Maryland at the end of May.

The Dauphin Island Sea Lab hosted the Region 7 Alabama Invention Convention competition on Saturday, March 7. The worldwide program, established in Alabama last year, helps students sharpen their problem-solving, communication, and creativity skills, preparing them to become tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and inventors.
