In 2005 I was Chairman of Ceremonies for the Roar of the Rings in Halifax. Those Olympic Curling Trials determined who would represent Canada and wear the Maple Leaf at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy. Just won a bonspiel as a pick up lead. The second was a young, keen curler from another town. The 1985 Brier was on and he and I watched it on television from our different towns after the bonspiel.
