Want a strong core? Do more sandbag carries. Heavy sandbag carries are great for building core stability. Since sandbags are awkward and not as stable as say a barbell or dumbbell, more muscles have to get involved to stabilize while you’re walking with it. Plus it’s great for grip strength and real world applications!

We did a variation on an Open workout today; 24.2, in preparation for the upcoming Open. This was a great opportunity to practice pacing a longer workout in case one comes up. To know your strengths and weaknesses and try to play to them. Here’s one of Central’s new strengths; Trevor! Once a weekend warrior with us, he’s now all in leading up to the Open!
