Vancouver, B.C. (July 8, 2026) – Today, Creative BC announces 84 Amplify BC grants through the Career Development program (the Program), totalling $1.25M distributed to recipients across the province.

The Program, launched in 2018 as part of Amplify BC, is funded by the Province of B.C. to support the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of B.C.’s music and sound recording industry. It fosters the economic growth and career development of both emerging and established B.C. artists through investing in specific sound recording, marketing, and video production projects.

Since its inception, the Program has supported over 1,000 grants for artist projects, providing nearly $11.5 million in funding to help develop B.C.’s music talent and grow its economic impact. These grants not only enhance artists’ earning potential but also drive economic activity across the industry, benefiting studios, recording professionals, session musicians, producers, and the creative sector at large. Additionally, the program fosters audience development locally, nationally, and internationally by investing in the creation and marketing of intellectual property and strengthening artists’ digital presence.

Eligible activities include recording singles, EPs, and LPs for commercial release, producing music videos and other video content that builds an artist’s brand, and a broad range of marketing initiatives such as photography, publicity, marketing assets, and digital content.
