I was awake before 8 and got busy with my brain puzzles, while S slept in until after 9. He was slow getting himself organized for church today, enjoying his coffee and a phone peruse first. The sun was shining brightly, making it a great day to get some laundry going and tackle the floors.

I woke a few times during the night and was up for the day at 7, excited for our big trail ride. B had said she’d be here at 8 today, so I was ready to roll. I started the daily brain puzzle with a coffee while waiting for her to arrive.

The blood pressure monitor going off every hour made for a poor night’s sleep for both of us, especially S, who eventually moved to another bed partway through the night. I woke to the wind blowing and spotted the horses along the far east fence line, visiting with the neighbours’ cows. I made a coffee and settled in with my brain puzzles.
