Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser (almost certainly also our next governor) is a hypocrite.  There’s simply no more apt word for it: he holds others to a standard he doesn’t hold himself to.  A recent fishing expedition by Weiser into a gun rights group’s membership is a case in point.

GREELEY – Recent Colorado Supreme Court and Weld District Court decisions have breathed new life into the City of Greeley’s efforts to develop a 1,000-acre entertainment district on its far west boundary. The legal green light comes on the heels of a city council vote sending a .6 percent sales tax increase to the November ballot as a funding mechanism for the project.

Supporters of Amendment 87, Colorado’s progressive income tax ballot measure, believe that Colorado can copy other states’ bad tax policies and somehow avoid the consequences. 

It can’t. 

Other states have already implemented progressive taxes and continue to suffer the consequences, while Colorado actually tends to gain from their losses.
