A small fleet set up today at Schoodic Lake. Dan Clapp’s been checking the ice/slush for the past few days and with last night’s cold it hardened up nice. Of course there had to be snow at this very moment, just to keep us humble, but that seemed to no problem under the strong April sun.
Forgot to add that the wonderful film posted yesterday was made by National Geographic producer David Clark, known for his work on the Galapagos and a number of NG specials over the years.

Moosehead didn’t quite recover as nicely as we’d hoped, but that didn’t stop the DN gang from setting a course and scratch racing for two days. Which was ok because we couldn’t even make it to the first pressure ridge, the snow was so thick.
