A find at the Bury St Edmunds postcard fair last year was this old photograph of a baby boy, as below, that had written on the reverse – Ronald Leslie HELLIAR age 11 months – the photograph was taken by Powell in Swanage in Dorset.

A lovely recent find at an antiques centre in Bowness in Windermere in the Lake District was this old photograph postcard of a young girl with her dolls in a pram, as below, that had written on the reverse ‘Freda Gertrude LEWIS aged 2 years 10 months’

A recent lovely old photograph find on eBay, as below, was this picture of a couple which had written on the reverse – Mr & Mrs CLARKE Golden Wedding April 15th 1931, but unfortunately no location.

Another recent find was this lovely old photographic postcard showing a mother with four children and a pony and trap – the photograph was taken by Boydes Studios who had locations in the Strand in London, Southend on Sea in Essex and Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, The only clue written on the back was Mrs C DOBELE and family.

When I am looking for old postcards and photographs to research I am always on the lookout for any World War 1 postcards that may have a regimental number as well as a name and regiment – one that I found a while ago, as below, was sent to Sgt B WATKINS number 11494 in France.
