It’s almost 18 months since we opened the doors of our New York Ready to wear store at 130 West 57th Street.
There were many people involved in bringing our vision for this store to life. Among them: Azark Inc., our architectural partner and kindred spirit in precision, legacy, and design.
If classic menswear has a spiritual guide, it’s G. Bruce Boyer. Bruce has spent decades shaping how we think about style. As former fashion editor at GQ, Esquire, and Town & Country, and the author of seminal works like Elegance, Eminently Suitable, True Style, and Gary Cooper: Enduring Style, his writing has helped define the language of modern classic menswear.
This past week, we welcomed a striking new addition to our West 57th Street, Billionaire's Row shop, a gleaming aluminum sculpture of the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa J, crafted by Hedley Studios known for their drivable art. They’ve now stepped into the world of sculpture and the result is something special: hand-formed, bare metal, and unmistakably iconic.
The 4 looks we recreated based on photos from back then represent Mr. Cooper in his day to day life, not the actor, so no costume, and no gala dressing either, as there are plenty of famous photos where he wears white tie or dinner suits. We opted for 2 suit looks and 2 more casual looks.
Last week, our penthouse played host to a truly special gathering an evening that celebrated timeless style, enduring friendships, and the quiet power of good tailoring. The occasion? A tribute to Gary Cooper: Enduring Style, the newly revamped edition co-authored by our dear friend G. Bruce Boyer.
