Every era of hip-hop has its grinders—artists who didn’t just show up, but carved their names into the pavement through persistence and raw belief. Charleston’s own Tragman is one of those artists. A rapper, CEO, and self-made heavyweight, his story starts the same way many legends do: with a kid sitting in front of the TV watching the giants of the culture change the world.

“I grew up a rap fan,” he says. “Anything Death Row Records or Bad Boy Records—I was locked in. Then I saw Kriss Kross on TV. They were around my age and I thought, ‘I think I could do this.’”

From that moment on, he wasn’t just a fan—he was a student.

From Rap Fan to the Lab

Young Tragman practiced until the craft felt like second nature. But the real turning point came in high school when he met Below Zero, aka Chillz Prince, a mentor who didn’t just motivate him but trained him.

“He taught me song structure, how to battle rap, and how to freestyle,” Tragman recalls. “He helped sharpen everything.”

That early discipline became the backbone of his entire career.

Stepping Into the Circles of Legends

Tragman’s grind eventually put him shoulder-to-shoulder with artists he once studied.

While traveling, he crossed paths with ATL underground icon T-Rock, earning appearances on multiple album releases. That momentum carried him into collaborations with La Chat and M.C. Mack from the Three 6 Mafia camp.

And then came a major moment—linking with Nuttso of 2Pac’s Outlawz, which led to Tragman becoming part of Kxng Crooked’s Circle of Bosses movement.

These weren’t lucky breaks. They were the results of skill meeting relentless hustle.

Building His Empire: Geechie Commission Ent

With respect building and doors opening, Tragman did what real bosses do—he created his own lane.

Geechie Commission Ent became his home base, his platform, and his vision all in one. He hand-picked and built a roster representing Charleston, South Carolina, Indiana, and everywhere in between.

“I put my own money up. I slow-grinded my way to respect,” he says. “That’s what I’m proud of.”

With the release of his newest album, Still Ain’t No Fun, the label is gearing up to take the game by storm.

The Road Was Far from Smooth

Behind the achievements is a trail marked by real-life battles.

“The biggest struggles have been finding loyal people to work with, finding sponsors, the death of an artist, and just getting a chance to prove myself.”

But grit defines him—and every setback hardened his drive.
