I purchased this Elm from Brussels last year at March Spring sale. It was already fully covered with new leaves. Had to prune new growth continuous the first few months. Had a great summer, was careful to move into a unheated storage room this winter on days it was going to 15F, the room stays 40F. This spring it started to leaf out around the first of March, as picture 1 shows....

Hi all,

My first attempt at turning garden centre plants into bonsai, also my first time getting my kids involved.

Ive attached pictures as they are a bit big. Starting with what I started with, the root ball, and the finished tree.

The idea was a mother and daughter type tree but not sure I've really hit my vision.
