IM working on this boat and its got 2 canister style fuel filters, one at the tank outlet and one after the fuel pump. both are a gf481 style filter. im wondering was this an option or did someone add this? i cant see the reason for trying to suck and push fuel through 2 of these filters and retain enough pressure to do the job at the injectors (TBI).

Looking for some insight on a 1994 Johnson 60hp triple (J60TTLERS) that has a rough idle but runs great everywhere else.

Compression: ~125 PSI even across all 3 cylinders.
Spark: Strong. Snaps a 7/16" jump from all three coils.

Hi all, the engine was running fine for about 30 mins between 4500 and 5500, I slowed down to idle thru a No Wake zone for 10 mins then when accelerating back up, it was very slow to respond and would not go past 4000 rpm. The tachometer needle would occasionally drop down to zero and back up like it was losing it's signal? I turned back around, idled thru the No Wake zone again...

just got this boat, and the person i bought it from said he had swapped the carb from a 305 in another boat. they were both holley 4175 carbs. the carb number i have is 80552. I have ordered the correct rebuild kit for this carb. my question is if this carb is going to perform well on this engine.
