BMW MOA

Hello all.

New to Bimmers with my mint ’11 R1200RT. Thought I would be spoiled by my history with Honda 4 cylinder models, but now I’m hooked.

Getting up in age and hoping I can stay physically fit as this is a BIG bike but loving every minute of it, despite the crazy northern Virginia drivers who seem determined to kill me!

I am in the process of replacing exhaust system in my '72 R60/5. Finally got all the exhaust parts removed (silencers were welded to headers) and now am putting the new headers and silencers. What is the proper torque value for the rear mounting bolt for the engine ? The footpeg attaches to. My clymer is on order but just impatient.

I love using Rand McNally maps. But the paper they use sucks! Fold it a half dozen times and it's got a hole in it! I'm hoping this old fashioned Hoge Podge will help it stay together. Anyone using similar?
