One of the many former chimneys that crop up all over the moors near the now defunct lead mines of Weardale and the south west of Northumberland. The smelting furnace for this one was at Langley Smelt Mill over 3/4 mile away and about 400 feet lower down. Back to the coast at Locquemeau a couple of days ago and found myself drawn to the rough water smashing into the rocks there. I do find rough seas crashing into the coast fascinating with the way the water behaves and the way it is rendered depending on the shutter speed used to capture the movement of the water. Anyway, here are four of the better ones from the day.

I am working with a friend who has a good but old printer (Canon Pixma iX4000). It still performs well but BW images have a greenish cast. I think the issue is that it is a four ink printer (Y,C,M and black). More modern printers add at least photo-blue or grey into the mix to neutralise any colour cast.

There was a beautiful sky here last Saturday, and for a change there was something in the sky to add a little something extra in the shape of the moon. I waited a good while for a flock of birds to cross it but sadly that day the birds were off somewhere else doing whatever it is they do. Ah well.... Anyway here it is.
