Basically 6 years ago I built a G-Wii with sub par skills and tools. It stopped working pretty fast and I never got around to fixing it. Years later my soldering skills and tools have gotten much better. I finished the G-Wii in about 3 days from scratch (Including desoldering, disassembly and cleaning some very stubborn flux residues from fake ebay flux that aged badly).

I currently own a Yihua 926 soldering iron, which has been pretty good for me. But when I started working on my Ashida, I feel like I have started to reach the limits of this budget iron. I got into looking for a good upgrade, some irons that I saw were the pinecil v2, and the hako fx-888d. Does anybody have experience with either of these irons or have any others to recommend?

I've tried for days to get VGA working, but it just never works. The Wii works using Composite, but the picture is a little fuzzy. I'm using the Innolux ATO65TN14 display. I've tried 2 LCD driver boards (same board).
