So, I just picked up our second A2, another 1.4 Petrol.

Bit of a gamble as it was £225 from a scrap yard off eBay, engine is lumpy and has CEL, MOT history screams neglect as does the interior, exterior etc etc. But £225 and it was only 30 mins drive away and I have a trailer so I'm not into it for much, it will be a bit of a project to see if its salvageable.

I realise that there are many posts here on electric windows. This problem had me puzzled:

Initially, the drivers side window wasn't going all the way up without re activating the switch. I did the obvious and cleaned the tracks at the top of the door, as I repeatedly activated the window switch the window settled at the bottom and wouldn't activate at all.
