I spent Labour Day weekend at the cottage. It was nice to get away for an overnight trip. The weather was perfect for me and so good to not have to think about hubby and his needs. A PSW was hired to stay with him while I was away.
My EPP project came along with me and two little guys helped pull out paper templates. They were excited to help me.
This quilt is now residing in Kitimat, B.C. It was mailed last week to it's new owner .... my brother-in-law. He and his wife now live in assisted living. He is in his 90's and his wife in her 80's. They just couldn't live on their own anymore.
This quilt has been donated to a charity organization that is helping a family start over again. I'm hoping that this quilt will give comfort to someone at any time of their life.
My sister and I drove out to our cottage for an overnight trip. On Saturday, the weather was perfect for porch sitting. Sunday, it was cool and raining, so we stayed inside until driving home in the afternoon. We noticed a few leaves on the maple trees starting to turn colour. Ragweed is blooming now and as the saying goes: six weeks before the first frost. Ugh!!!!
