The third Harvey Norman Home Entertainment Expo has wrapped up in Sydney with suppliers describing the event as very successful.

Under the theme ‘See It Bigger, Hear It Better’, the 2026 Harvey Norman Home Entertainment Expo has brought together over 250 floor staff members from Harvey Norman, Domayne and Joyce Mayne to hear from the biggest brands from within the retailer’s audio and visual portfolio.

“It’s great to have every store, every state and every region represented here at this Expo,” Harvey Norman general manager – audio visual, Adam Qemal said when he addressed the delegates opening the event on the first day.

“We run these events for the salespeople who are the best informed in the industry which means our customers get the best experience when they shop in store.”

Harvey Norman proprietor, Nick Karasoulis, who sits on the retailer’s audio committee and visual committee as well as the management committee was present at the event to create content that would be used to amplify the messages from the Expo to those floor staff members that were unable to attend.

“The Home Entertainment Expo provides our team of floor staff members with the opportunity to see all of the latest technology, and to then be ambassadors to the rest of our staff in the stores so that we can give our customers the best possible information to make an informed purchase.

“This event is world class in terms of the display booths presented by the suppliers and the standard of the fit out and the quality of the information that is being presented.

“It is very important that we have floor staff present at this event because they are at the coalface with our customers. There is a lot of excitement for them to travel and be here for this event and the camaraderie that is created by networking and talking not only at our supplier dinner on the first night to talk about their experience at Harvey Norman and how they can improve as individuals by sharing information.”

Simon Howe and the team from Samsung created the largest display at the event featuring multiple rooms that displayed a plethora of the company’s technology in the category.

“An event like the Harvey Norman Home Entertainment Expo is very important to Samsung,” Howe told Appliance Retailer.

“With the new range of products that we have brought to market since CES in January, now is the time to demonstrate the technology to the floor staff and show what makes a Samsung a Samsung.

“We launched the 115-inch Micro RGB last year and we are now excited to expand that technology to additional screen sizes from 55-inch now and 130-inch by the end of the year, but then in two series. Normally when we launch a premium technology it sits at the higher end for a little while, but the good news is we are able to launch two series now making it accessible to every Australian consumer. Our S95F OLED has taken a new bezel design cue from our Frame range and is also able to be flush mounted and first time to bring Art Store to OLED for the first time with our pixel shifting technology.”

Jason Carrick from TCL was grateful for the opportunity to explain the TCL technology and strategy to the Harvey Norman floor staff.

“We find we get great engagement at these events with the Harvey Norman floor staff. The floor staff are the key for us – and it is very important for us to get in front of them and give them confidence in our brand and key messaging with three to five things to remember when they go back into their stores so they can sell the dream to the customer and we can have a successful year together,” Carrick told Appliance Retailer.
