The money will be used by local rescue groups to help feral cats. It will cover trap, neuter, release program costs and veterinary costs.
The cats will mostly stay feral, but they will have better lives. They can live in smaller stable colonies when they are not producing endless litters of kittens. They can be fed and given medical care. They can have happy lives.

A couple took home a senior dog from a shelter so his last days could be in a loving home. Once there, under their care, Rodney
improved. He became more energetic and more engaged in life. His last days have turned into months and the couple have adopted him.

Hippos are not native to Colombia. The hippos that are there all  come from the four that were imported.
They can't be returned to Africa. They are dangerous and destructive to Colombian ecology. The have tried a neuter and release program. They have tried catching them and sending them to zoos. They have already tried a cull.

Both cats went missing and were possibly stolen. One cat was found 20 miles away and returned. As the years went by hope faded for the return of her cat's brother.
Then she got a message asking if she ever got her cat back. Someone saw him and tracked her down through the old Facebook post. Now the cat is happily home with his people and his brother.
