I just wanted to say Hi, and thank you for accepting me. I just met with surgeon a couple of weeks ago and I did a bunch of blood work last week. I have my first dietician appointment next Monday. Very excited to get moving. I am glad I found this support group I think I will need it a lot. I am on day 22 of not smoking so a few more day and I can get that test out of the way.

I’m about 2 1/2 months out. I feel ok, but feel left to the wolves in terms of diet. At times food tastes great at times it doesn’t. Im really struggling with what foods to eat. I’ve tried things in small increments but realize most stuff I still can’t eat, and then I find myself being able to freely eat things that aren’t always as healthy.

I am new here. I have been obese for over half my life. When I was 20, I was 135lbs. Within 6 months, I gained 90lbs. I stayed there for several years but then started gaining again. Over the years, I've gained 125 lbs, 35 of it just recently. I struggle with a sugar addiction. About a month ago, I started the journey for bypass. I don't know what I need to do or where to start.
