Things just get worse

Well, things just get worse around here. Poor Mum needs to take some time off. It’s the only explanation I can find. I’ve suggested she and I just curl up together for a few days until the world rights itself. That seemed kinder than pointing out that it’s Mum who seems to have fallen off her axis.

Railway Station

Our shed, or railway station as it is being called, is nearly finished. Today was supposed to the last day of the builders being here, but I think they won’t finish until Monday. I think Mum wants the mud situation to improve before either Pebbles or I get to go and have a look. I think Dad wants the mud situation to improve before he goes out there too.

Water Table

The water table in the orchard has gone critical. Where the spring line is at the top of the orchard, there are plants sitting under water. Given that’s the highest point of the garden, you can imagine what the rest of it is like.
